description

Collaboration is a means to an end, not an end in itself. It is always important to focus on what the ‘end’ is, because that will drive the rationale to collaborate. Collaboration is a broad term. For the purposes of this workshop, three forms of collaboration are distinguished, in order of increasing depths of relational intimacy: Communication, Coordination, & Co-investment. Each of these options will involve progressively greater amounts of transaction costs and resource commitment to maintain the relationships necessary to facilitate an effective partnership.

Participants will be given the opportunity for first hand experience at using tools that will help you strike better collaborative agreements, that will diagnose the cause of exisiting problems, and that will screen potential opportunities for optimum outcomes.

This workshop is sponsored by FEAST.
