The 18^th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition will be a platform for discussing the outcome of United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen and national energy strategies.

Topics discussed at the event will cover a range of bioenergy issues: resource availability, conversion technologies, demonstration projects, integration in the energy system, environmental impact and market deployment, as well as the need for policy initiatives.

Presenters and participants will also have the opportunity to see practical applications of biomass for high quality materials and bioenergy systems in the exhibition part of the conference.

The EU’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) is taking part in the technical organisation of the event.
