FEAST assists innovative companies (large or SME) in their efforts to develop partnerships with researchers. Provided that you are: either

  • a business operating from Europe seeking to collaborate with researchers in Australia, or
  • a business operating in Australia seeking to collaborate with European researchers

then we are able to help you in the following areas.

For businesses operating in Europe (both EU Member States and other nations):

  • identifying and assessing collaboration opportunities in Australia using our knowledge of the R&D sector in Australia;
  • assistance with understanding how S&T policy and funding mechanisms work in Australia and the implications for collaboration opportunities;
  • initial approaches and introductions;
  • advice on building confidence and linkages.

For businesses operating in Australia:

  • access European innovation networks to assist with understanding how S&T policy and funding mechanisms work;
  • initial approaches and introductions to the EU-based Australian support;
  • advice on building confidence and linkages;
  • linking with European (trade) missions in Australia.

We are currently working closely with several companies who are keen to leverage the distinctive capabilities in the Australian research base. We are also working with groups of academic researchers in Australia seeking to develop collaborative R&D partnerships with European businesses. This facilitation work is carried out free of charge and is treated as “commercial-in-confidence” by FEAST.
