The ESCMID has an ongoing programme to support young European scientists engaged in the fields of clinical microbiology or infectious diseases who wish to receive training in a foreign laboratory, university, or hospital. The host department or laboratory must be located outside of the applicant’s country of residence.
The scholarships are intended for European scientists aged 40 years or less, who are trainees in clinical microbiology or infectious diseases.
Financial support of €1,000 is available to help cover travel costs for training outside Europe.
