The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) has an ongoing programme to support young European scientists engaged in the fields of clinical microbiology or infectious diseases who wish to receive training in a foreign laboratory, university, or hospital. The host department or laboratory must be located outside of the applicant’s country of residence.
The scholarships are intended for European scientists aged 40 years or less, who are trainees in clinical microbiology or infectious diseases. Applicants must be ESCMID members in good standing and should be born on or after January 1, 1970.
Financial support of €600 in Europe or €1,000 outside Europe is available to help cover travel costs for training.
