The European Commission has published new Calls for the Public-Private- Partnership ‘Factories of the Future’ (FoF) concerning the two Thematic Priorities ‘Information and Communication Technologies’ (ICT) and ‘Nanosciences, Nanotechnology, Materials and new Production Technologies’ (NMP).
The following research priorities are open for submission:
- ICT:
- Virtual Factories and enterprises
- Digital factories: Manufacturing design and product lifecycle management
- NMP:
- Virtual Factories and enterprises
- The eco-factory: cleaner and more resource-efficient production in manufacturing
- Cooperative machines and open architecture control systems
- Robots for automation of post-production and other auxiliary processes
- High-tech solutions in the production processes for customized healthy, green and safe consumer products
- Towards zero-defect manufacturing
- Manufacturing chains for nano-phased component and coatings
