The Degussa Foundation is committed to funding natural sciences research, as well as to funding environmental protection and sustainable development, cultural aims, and adult and vocational education.
The foundation offers scholarships to those studying the following programs of study in natural sciences:
- General chemistry
- Anorganic chemistry
- Organic chemistry
- Analytical chemistry
- Physical chemistry
- Biological chemistry
- Technical chemistry
- Macromolecular chemistry
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Process engineering
- Information technology
- Material sciences
The foundation supports primarily master’s degrees and the scientific research work of doctoral and postdoctoral students, plus other scientific specialists. Moreover, the foundation provides financial assistance for an MBA (based on a program of study in the natural sciences), postgraduate studies, and internships abroad.
In addition, the Degussa Foundation awards scholarships for talented artists. Particularly, talented young people in the field of music may apply for financial support.
