The fellowship provides established academics with an opportunity to carry out research in one of its four departments. The four departments are as follows: Department of Economics; Department of History and Civilization; Department of Law; and Department of Political and Social Sciences. Fellowships last for up to ten months in one of the EUI’s four Departments which in turn invite fellows to participate in departmental activities (seminars, workshops, colloquia, etc.).
