CIMO Fellowship program supports young researchers to travel to Finnish universities. The objective is to encourage academic mobility to Finland and to promote international cooperation in research and teaching.
The programme is open to all academic fields.
CIMO Fellowships are open to young researchers (after master’s-level but not postdoctorate) from all countries.
The award period is 3-12 months. The monthly allowance is €800-1,200 (in 2009). The award is intended to cover living expenses in Finland for a single person. The exact amount varies according to the academic qualifications of the recipient and to the support given by the receiving department. No additional allowance for housing is paid. Expenses due to international travel to and from Finland are not covered by CIMO.
