description

FEAST is seeking Interns to work on projects related to science and technology cooperation between Europe and Australia, particularly in relation to major global themes such as:

  • innovation and knowledge-based economic development (particularly with regard to lessons from Europe-Australia comparisons of policies and outcomes);
  • identifying Australia’s distinctive research capabilities from the European perspective (e.g. expertise specific to the Southern hemisphere with global implications);
  • climate change and its social and economic impacts;
  • low emission energy R&D and energy security challenges;
  • security and counter-terrorism;
  • development and emerging diseases;
  • ageing populations.

Much of this work will involve policy-oriented “translational” research that integrates insights from different academic disciplines in a way that can inform future S&T cooperation between Europe and Australia. Those interested in becoming an intern at FEAST should consult the Australian National Internships Program (ANIP).

Note that applications must be submitted according to ANIP’s intake cycle.
