FEAST is seeking Interns to work on projects related to science and technology cooperation between Europe and Australia, particularly in relation to major global themes such as:
- innovation and knowledge-based economic development (particularly with regard to lessons from Europe-Australia comparisons of policies and outcomes);
- identifying Australia’s distinctive research capabilities from the European perspective (e.g. expertise specific to the Southern hemisphere with global implications);
- climate change and its social and economic impacts;
- low emission energy R&D and energy security challenges;
- security and counter-terrorism;
- development and emerging diseases;
- ageing populations.
Much of this work will involve policy-oriented “translational” research that integrates insights from different academic disciplines in a way that can inform future S&T cooperation between Europe and Australia. Those interested in becoming an intern at FEAST should consult the Australian National Internships Program (ANIP).
