The primary role of ANBUG has been to act as a voice for Australian scientists and engineers who use neutron scattering in their work, be it at ANSTO’s HIFAR facility or at overseas facilities, such as ISIS. With Australia’s Replacement Research Reactor now firmly on schedule, the future for neutron scattering in Australia has never been brighter. Now is the optimal time for us to influence the design and implementation of the neutron scattering instruments that will be available for us on the Replacement Reactor, help build up our community, and discuss other matters of importance for Australian neutron users.
