summary:

The QAP fills the gap between the long-term vision of a large-scale quantum device and the present status of development in the field of Quantum Information Processing and Communication (QIPC). This project is strategically focused on the coming 3-6 years towards the development of near-to-medium term Quantum Information Processing (QIP) applications with the potential forcommercial exploitation. The demonstration of new and existing qubitapplications of QIP demands expertise from numerous areas of QIP ranging from computer science, mathematical physics, theoretical physics, through to photonic, atomic, and solid state physics. This initiative will create a horizontal coherence within the QIP research community in Europe.
