The ANU National Europe Centre and the Forum for European-Australian Science and Technology Cooperation (FEAST) present David White, Director of Lifelong Learning, Education and Training Policy at the European Commission’s Education and Culture Directorate General.

Amongst his current responsibilities is the establishment of a European Institute of Technology. David joined the European Commission in 1974. He worked in the Directorate General for Employment and Social Affairs and the Secretariat General, before joining the Cabinet of President Jacques Delors. He was responsible for the creation of an Innovation Policy Directorate to improve the conditions for dynamic and innovative business.

David White is in Australia as the guest of the CRC Association and will be a key note speaker at the CRCA 12th Annual Conference in Perth 16–18 May 2007 (www.crca.asn.au/conference).
